The mission of Our Village is to provide our families a hand up, not a handout by providing comprehensive spiritual, cultural, social and educational experiences for our community.
WHAT IS OUR VILLAGE
Our Village is a place where families reconnect with one another, reengage by participating in activities as families; and through these activities, families will be provided opportunities to enhance their lives
WHY WE HELP
We believe all of our children and their families should have educational and
healthy activities which promote unity, support, cooperation, cohesion and connectedness to a larger community.
HOW WE HELP
We will call together the communities of government, nonprofits, business and faith-based organizations to develop a plan for a living community of experiences not currently available in Okeechobee.
Our Village offers so much for our clients and the community, including:

Integrated approach to care for anyone birth to death

Mental Health peer support and referrals for mental health treatment

After school homework help and referrals to tutors

Arts and Education Center with activities for all ages like bible studies, health education classes, social activities and more

On site assistance with application completion for Social Security, Medicaid, SNAP and other social programs

Food pantry with an average of 8,000 pound of food distributed each month

Joani's Exchange, a thrift store to assist clients in need and open to the public to help support our overall mission

Partnerships working hand in hand with numerous organizations
We ask our clients what they need to live a good life and work to help them take the next steps to accomplish it!
