Diversity

The mission of Our Village is to provide our families a hand up, not a handout by providing comprehensive spiritual, cultural, social and educational experiences for our community.

WHAT IS OUR VILLAGE

Our Village is the landmark organization for Okeechobee County encompassing cultural experiences such as all performing arts, museums, historical sites; educational opportunities such as mentoring, tutoring, educational experiences, craftsmanship, artisanship, labs; health and science experiences such as a living, walkable community, a community garden, science and agriculture brought to life for our children to learn the newest technology available to sustain our agricultural heritage, physical activities where our community sees renewed health and well-being, all by calling together faith based, government, education, private business, nonprofits and community members in a call to action of service above self. Our Village is a place where families reconnect with one another, reengage by participating in activities as families and families will be provided opportunities to enhance their lives.

WHY WE HELP

At Our Village Okeechobee, we believe that timely, local support can change the course of a family’s future. Too often, individuals facing hardship from storms, financial instability, or unexpected emergencies do not qualify for traditional aid and are left to navigate recovery alone.

We exist to provide immediate, community-based assistance that helps prevent short-term crises from becoming long-term setbacks. By focusing on early intervention and locally driven solutions, we ensure that every dollar donated is used efficiently and where it is needed most—right here in Okeechobee.

When you give to Our Village Okeechobee, you are investing in resilience, dignity, and a stronger community. Together, we are not just responding to need—we are building a village where neighbors support neighbors and no one is left behind.
