Peer Support

Our Peer Support Program is a  program in partnership between The Southeast Behavioral Health Network, Children Services Council of Okeechobee, and Our Village Okeechobee. We offer personalized one-on-one or group peer support, we provide our services through education and experiences, offering fun activities, assistance with coping skills, and guidance in goal-setting.

Why?

We started offering peer support in 2018 in collaboration with the Southeast Behavioral Health Network to support children in our community who need extra guidance, encouragement, and coping skills. 

What?

Peer support is a one-on-one or group led approach to mental health through sharing lived experience and trainings to enrich and guide a peer through school and life. We do a 90 day progress report to review and recent changes and monitor their progress.

Who?

Peer Support is available for kids age 5-20, this is a referral based program, the schools play a huge part in helping us identify at-risk youth. We operate in Yearling Middle School, Osceola Middle School, Central Elementary, and Okeechobee Achievement Academy. To inquire about services please contact your child's school.

Where?

We operate in Yearling Middle School, Osceola Middle School, Central Elementary, and Okeechobee Achievement Academy. We also hold afternoon peer at our office at 3:45pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, to enroll your child in afternoon Peer Support you can contact your child's school or call our main office line at 863-447-0473.
